Biography

Cathy Kline is Assistant Director, Patient and Community Engagement in the Office of the Vice-President, Health at the University of British Columbia where she builds capacity for the integration of patient and community expertise into collaborative health education, interdisciplinary health research, and health systems. She also manages a program of research with the Patient & Community Partnership for Education where she helped to build a hub for patient and community engagement at UBC and conducts research to advance patient involvement in the academy.  

Cathy has been a member of the organizing committee, steering committee and task force for two international conferences on the theme of ‘Where’s the patient’s voice in health professional education?’ which have provided leadership in the development of an international and interdisciplinary movement to embed the patient’s voice in health professional education.

Cathy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and a Master of Arts in Health Education from Dalhousie University.
