Purpose

  • Share, discuss and debate research findings (including preliminary findings) of pH1N1 projects
  • Examine health equity and ethical dimensions of public health approaches to pandemic influenza
  • Consider implications of research findings for strengthening health systems (public health and health care) and for public engagement
  • Strengthen links among funded researchers and decision makers

Overview

Researchers from across Canada presented findings from pH1N1 research funded by CIHR and PHAC. Decision makers and practitioners from local, provincial, territorial, and national levels in Canada participated in the event. A small group of graduate students also participated in the workshop.

Outcomes

  • A package of 21 research summaries highlighting findings and knowledge translation activities
